It looks like cute Knut will be playing in these waters for years to come. Germany's much beloved polar bear can now call the Berlin zoo his permanent home after the facility agreed to pay about six hundred thousand dollars to settle a financial dispute over his ownership.
This bear has grabbed headlines and stolen the hearts of millions ever since he first went on display back in 2007. Abondoned by his mother it now appears the entire country has adopted the animal. In fact, Knut mania has turned into a beast of its own with thousands of dolls and pictures being sold every year.
That also lead to a dispute between two zoos. One which owns Knut's father also insisted that it had the rights to its first offspring. However, Knut has spent his entire life at the Berlin zoo. And now thanks to this agreement, he won't be going anywhere, which appears to be just fine with him.
